BMOOMAG1: Moon Magic by Fortune, Dion

Moon Magic is the sequel to Don Forutne`s most acclaimed novel, The Sea Priestess. It continues the story of her hero, Vivien Le Fay Morgan, this time in the guise of Lilith Le Fay, setting up a temple dedicated to the worship of Isis in London. There, through telepathic means, she attracts the service of dour, repressed, yet psychically-gifted Dr. Rupert Malcolm as a participant in her magical workings - as priest to her priestess in their astral temple. During the course of her magical work, Le Fay breaks down Malcolm`s querulous personality and helps him rediscover his emotional nature. At the apogee of their magical practice, he assumes the role of god to Le Fay`s goddess as they combine their power in a supreme act of magic to benefit the whole human race. Moon Magic was published posthumously from extensive notes and manuscripts Fortune left behind at the time of her death in 1946. It was to be the last in a series of fiction and nonfiction that she planned as a course of study in magic. The two key nonfiction titles are Psychic Self-Defense and The Mystical Qabalah. Her fiction titles in the series include The Secrets of Dr. Taverner, The Demon Lover, The Winged Bull, The Goat Foot God, The Sea Priestess, and finally Moon Magic. Fortune claimed that she presented her theories in nonfiction, but that her fictional works were clear, practical manuals for putting those theories into practice. In her own words, ''The Mystical Qabalah gives the theory, but the novels give the practice.. Those who study The Mystical Qabalah with the help of the novels get the keys of the Temple put into their hands.'' Dion Fortune (1890-1946), founder of The Society of the Inner Light, is recognized as one of the most luminous and significant figures of 20th-century esoteric thought. A prolific writer, pioneer psychologist, and powerful psychic, she dedicated her life to the revival of the Western Mystery Tradition.
