Featuring a uniquely flat design, this mortar and pestle set offers you an elegant method of crushing, grinding, and pressing small amount of material rather rapidly. Made of white ceramic, the mortar measures approximately 4'' in diameter and only about 3/4'' tall, with a shallow, bowl-shaped basin that has been textured to cause more friction when you grind your herbs and other such mixtures. The pestle takes the form of a wide, relatively flat surface approximately 2 3/4'' wide, that fits the mortar's basin perfectly. With the lower surface textured as well and a 2 1/2'' tall handle that fits comfortably against your palm, it easily grinds at all of the material that you place within the mortar.
