Without any flashy design or decoration, this mortar and pestle set has been carved of soapstone as an elegantly simple tool to help you create your herbal, alchemical, and ritual blends. Measuring just under 4" in diameter, the mortar is shaped almost like a stout chalice, with a wide cup and a narrower base, which measures only approximately 2 3/4" in diameter. Measuring approximately 2 1/2" tall, the mortar is also crafted of solid soapstone, lending a sturdiness and weight to the soft stone suitable for your altar or workspace. The accompanying pestle is approximately 4" long, and made to fit comfortably against your palm to aid you in grinding and blending your ritual, herbal and spell components
