The subject of numerous legends and stories sacred to the Hawaiian people, she is believed to live within Halema`uma`u crater, at the summit of Mount Kilauea, in Hawaii, which is one of the world`s most active volcanoes. She is a powerful goddess of creation and destruction, as one can clearly imagine from the colorful beauty with which this banner is designed.
